That's a big doughnut! I think it might be able to replace my head! It's probably smarter than me anyways :)
Hey, what's happening everybody! Alyssa and I are in beautiful Austin, Texas and have been reflecting on the fact that today is our one-year anniversary of our marriage. We have been so blessed and are just celebrating on a little adventure to some Texas hot spots.
I can't thank God enough for giving me a beautiful, immensely talented, caring, grace-filled, loving, compassionate, and forgiving wife. She is so awesome and even when we are challenged by the tough aspects of being in a marital relationship, the Lord has reminded us that we are fortunate to have one another. We're two imperfect humans but through God's grace, we can love and serve one another. We are still pretty green in the marriage department, though, and are just happy to be learning as we go.
Last night we had some INCREDIBLE barbeque at The Salt Lick just outside of Austin and I fulfilled one of my lifelong dreams of eating there. It has been featured on the Food Network and the Travel Channel and it's been making my mouth water for some time now. We are planning on trying some other local food joints today too!
Finally, if you think of it, you could keep us in your prayers for something the Lord's been dropping onto our hearts. Alyssa recently got to teach and lead Bible study and worship at a music camp in Guatemala, and was able to use all of her awesome skills! Long story short, she had an incredible time and the Lord is having us pray about whether or not we will be moving there to essentially be "music missionaries" and share the gospel of Christ while still working as professional musicians. This could potentially happen in a couple of years but we will be just thinking and praying about it as we go.
Love y'all! Thanks for all the blessings. Peace and joy of the Lord be with you.
